K. Annamala Pulavar: Artiste of the month, September 2009

JTpac Cochin/Kerala, an organisation committed to preserve, sustain, propagate and nurture the performing arts traditions of India, has chosen K. Annamala Pulavar, as artist of the month.
K. Annamala Pulavar, 96, is a living guru of Tolpava Koothu, Keralas' shadow puppetry. He had also received the Kerala Folklore Akademi's fellowship and award for the year 2003.
